Are you responding to a magnetic field, or just pleased to see me?

While discussing ferrofluids with a friend this evening, I pointed out that they’re pretty easy to buy, and entirely randomly chose this page – which happens to be German – to illustrate my point.

HAAAAAA! Germans are so excellent! Scrolling idly down the page, I came upon this quote:

“This is my first attempt to fill ferrofluid from a large bottle into a small bottle. It did not work out too well. I had to dispose of the pants afterwards.

Usually some sort of accident is bound to happen.”

There’s an entire philosophy in there, somewhere.
