If there were an antidote to Bukowski’s “like a shining diamond, like a knife, like a mountain, like a tiger, like hemlock,”

it would be

“like an orange typewriter, like a new block of Arches Aquarelle, like a fountain pen, like a birthday, like the scent of roses you have grown yourself.”
